About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team on Snowdrop Ward at Walton Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to older adults with organic mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with all aspects of their daily living needs, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist in the delivery of support to individuals who may present with challenging behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and report any concerns or changes in patient well-being to supervising nurses.
  • Participate in the delivery and monitoring of individual care/treatment plans, working collaboratively with the nursing team.
  • Carry out assigned tasks to meet the direct care needs of each patient, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • NVQ level 2 in health/social care or equivalent.
  • Care Certificate.
  • Best Practice in Dementia (or equivalent).
  • Previous care experience within health or social care, with a minimum of 6 months' experience in mental health/dementia care.
