About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vascular Surgeon to join our team at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Vascular Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients with vascular conditions, including aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, and peripheral artery disease.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead in the management and delivery of vascular services, including endovascular and open surgery techniques
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies and treatments
- Provide teaching and training to junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in clinical governance and audit activities to ensure high-quality patient care
- Work collaboratively with other departments and teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
- Primary Medical Qualification and full GMC Registration
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register within 6 months
- FRCS Vasc or equivalent qualification
- Experience in vascular surgery, including endovascular and open surgery techniques
- Ability to provide expert clinical care and leadership
