Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized General Assistant to join our catering team at Rydeshill Prep School and Nursery. As a General Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of food and snacks, maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen and dining area, and providing a friendly and efficient service to all customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food and snacks for the school and nursery
• Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen and dining area at all times
• Provide a friendly and efficient service to all customers
• Wash up on a rota basis or as required
• Set up the dining room and clean up after breakfast
• Serve on the counters and deliver snacks to the nursery
• Clean the dining room after lunch and set up and clear the staffroom

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role or in education catering
• Good health and safety knowledge
• Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused, fun and enthusiastic
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team and enjoy succeeding as a team
• Great customer service skills and a flexible approach to work
