Job Title: General Assistant Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized General Assistant to join our team at Holroyd Howe. As a General Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in food preparation, maintaining a clean and tidy environment, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation of food and snacks * Maintain the kitchen and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state at all times * Provide a friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to all customers * Wash up on a rota basis or as required Client Service: * Ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and expectations are consistently exceeded * Be customer-focused at all times, visible during service periods, approachable, and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs * Project a willing and helpful attitude to customers; seek the appropriate knowledge of food items sold throughout catering areas and keep areas and service counters clean and fully stocked People: * Treat team members at location as you would expect to be treated * Cooperate with all team members and undertake duties in the kitchen/service areas as requested to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered at all times Health & Safety, Food Safety, The Environment: * Attend food safety, health and safety, and environmental training courses as required * Rigorously follow the unit cleaning schedules Additional Responsibilities: * Attend all location meetings as required * Show commitment to company values in all aspects of your role * Act as a positive ambassador for the business * Attend to any reasonable request made by the client or Holroyd Howe Management * Ensure compliance with the company's policy on safer recruitment and safeguarding children and young adults at all times whilst at work Requirements: * Ideally have experience working within Education catering * Have good Health & Safety knowledge * Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused * Fun and enthusiastic * Have excellent organization skills * Demonstrate great attention to detail * Be a team player and enjoy succeeding as a team * Possess great customer service skills * Have a flexible approach to work Location: Rydeshill Prep School and Nursery Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term time only (wages are split into 12 equal months) Salary: £11.44 per hour Benefits: * Opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team * Comprehensive training and development opportunities * Competitive salary and benefits package How to Apply: If you are a motivated and organized individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
