About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Lead Nurse Colposcopist to join our multi-disciplinary team to cover maternity leave. As a certified colposcopist with the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSSCP), you will be responsible for leading the colposcopy demand and capacity modelling and business planning for the service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage complete clinical episodes of care, working in partnership with others, delegating and referring as appropriate, to optimise health outcomes and resource use.
  • Lead the colposcopy demand and capacity modelling and business planning for the service, working in partnership with the General Manager and Deputy General Manager to inform business planning and service planning with the relevant commissioning bodies.
  • Act as a source of expertise and knowledge for patients, carers and health professionals as well as other agencies involved in provision of the colposcopy service.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Professional registration
  • BSSCP certified colposcopist
  • Masters level advanced clinical practice
  • Recognised teaching or mentoring qualification

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

  • Budget management
  • Recognition as advanced practitioner
  • Non-medical prescriber
