Highway Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highway Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our highway design team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of a wide range of highway schemes, from major road schemes to junction improvements and local cycling infrastructure schemes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver design packages, reports, and other deliverables to achieve project outcomes;
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and inform design decisions;
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards;
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, including sub-consultants;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders;
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Chartered Engineer or equivalent qualification;
- Proven experience in highway design and construction;
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage projects effectively;
- Knowledge of Local Highway Authority standards and regulations;
- Ability to develop and manage teams, including training and development;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in design software, including AutoCAD and programming tools.
