Clinical Lead Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lead Psychologist to join our team at Compass Associates. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to junior psychologists and assistant psychologists.
The successful candidate will have experience working within secure, forensic, or prison environments and will hold a recognized degree in Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling Psychology. You will be required to work with vulnerable males and females who have high-risk behaviors and backgrounds, including mental health conditions, addiction, complex trauma, and neurodiversity.
As Clinical Lead, you will provide senior clinical leadership and advice to the multidisciplinary team (MDT) at each prison, working closely with GPs, Consultant Psychiatrists, Specialist Nurses, Pharmacists, and ANPs. You will also have the opportunity to deliver training to healthcare professionals and prison staff, as well as be involved in audits, research, and service development.
The role will involve working 2 days a week in Leeds and 3 days a week in the other four prisons, depending on need. You will be a key member of the MDT and will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to junior psychologists and assistant psychologists.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior psychologists and assistant psychologists
- Work with vulnerable males and females who have high-risk behaviors and backgrounds
- Provide senior clinical leadership and advice to the MDT at each prison
- Deliver training to healthcare professionals and prison staff
- Be involved in audits, research, and service development
- Recognized degree in Clinical, Forensic, or Counselling Psychology
- Experience working within secure, forensic, or prison environments
- Clinical leadership experience
- Training in supervision
- Full HCPC registration
A formal panel interview with the National Psychology Lead and Head of Healthcare, followed by a site visit.
