Job Title: SENCO Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled SENCO Specialist to join our team at Catch22. As a SENCO Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend multi-agency meetings, CAFs, and Annual Reviews to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
- Support the completion of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and secure higher needs funding to meet identified needs.
- Work with senior colleagues to ensure the service meets its responsibilities under the Equalities Act (2010) with regard to reasonable adjustments and access arrangements.
- Ensure service policies, procedures, and practices relating to SEN are adhered to.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning in partnership with senior colleagues.
- Help colleagues evaluate the impact of their teaching on learners.
- Ensure continuity and progression through the analysis of learner performance data.
- Liaise with external agencies, commissioners, and stakeholders to communicate strategy and progress in relation to SEN.
- Ensure the service keeps records of all learners with SEN up-to-date.
- Liaise with the designated safeguarding lead where there are issues relating to a learner with SEN.
- Advise on the deployment of the service's delegated budget and other resources to meet learners' needs effectively.
