Duty Manager Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Duty Manager to join our team at the Weald & Downland Living Museum. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Duty Managers and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the museum.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of Duty Managers to deliver excellent customer service and ensure the museum operates at its best.
- Prepare and manage monthly rotas for Duty Managers.
- Be a point of contact for Duty Managers and provide support and guidance as needed.
- Develop and implement effective shift briefs and ongoing coaching to support team members.
- Ensure incidents are logged and reported as required.
- Act as a first aider and provide first aid training to staff and volunteers.
- Conduct site walk rounds to monitor the quality of the visitor experience and facilities.
- Respond to a wide range of scenarios and make decisions as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable enthusiasm and energy, adaptability, and reliability.
- Good initiative and judgement, with the ability to problem solve and make appropriate decisions.
- Excellent time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
- A proven record of delivering high-quality customer care and experience in venue or duty management.
- Direct experience in line management of staff and organisation of rotas.
- An understanding of relevant Health and Safety areas and a willingness to take responsibility and action.
- A true team worker with a willingness to help other departments as required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use own initiative without supervision.
- Excellent IT skills using Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
