Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in the Wakefield area. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities or additional needs to achieve their goals and live independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities or additional needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, and activities, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.
  • Support individuals in finding and maintaining employment, education, or training opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and social workers, to ensure comprehensive support.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a support role, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of service users.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate (DBS) clearance.
