The Role

We're seeking an experienced Pension Team Lead to join our Member Advice administration team. As a leader, you'll be responsible for managing a small team, providing guidance and support to colleagues, and ensuring seamless delivery of projects.

You will lead a team to work on various projects prioritized by their commercial and operational importance alongside providing advice to our business operations. Your team will provide excellent administration and helpdesk support to our corporate clients, handling projects such as Pension Increase Exchange (PIE), Flexible Retirement Options, Enhanced Transfer Value, and New Scheme Implementations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day workflow of the Administration Team in Croydon.
  • Training and coaching of team members.
  • Liaising with the Paraplanning & Client Services Team Leaders to resolve technical and process issues.
  • Covering day-to-day activities when a team member is absent.
  • Working on ad-hoc projects to improve processes and client experience.
About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Level or equivalent qualification.
  • GCSE English and mathematics (A-C).
  • Strong MS office skills.
  • Basic knowledge of financial services.
  • Experience in a leadership role or managing people.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience working in an administration environment.
  • Experience interacting with clients.

A basic understanding of technical pensions and legislative knowledge would be advantageous. Experience of delivering administration services to Defined Benefit pension schemes and certificate in Financial Planning qualified or equivalent / any CII pension qualifications are desirable.

This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. We're an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
