About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux and Windows Systems Administrator to join our team at Consunet Pty Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, integrating, testing, and maintaining high-availability networks of primarily Linux-based systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement network architectures and configurations to ensure high system availability and robust long-term solutions.
  • Provide day-to-day systems support and administration to stakeholders, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Analyse and report risks as they are identified, and assist with the development and improvement of policies, procedures, and documentation for delivery, support, and monitoring of DevOps / DevSecOps and ICT environments.
  • Collaborate with in-house and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes, and manage small project teams to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems, including day-to-day configuration, management, and operation of Linux environments.
  • Understanding of Networks within VMWare, including ESXi, NSX, vSphere Hypervisor, vRealise, and experience with Kubernetes Networking.
  • Experience in management for FortiNet networking products, preferably Cisco network.
  • Understanding of Virtual Network Infrastructure, including Firewalls, Load Balancers, Gateways, and security products.
  • Experience in administrating and monitoring ICT systems in general.
  • Adaptability, fluency in communication, and ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Linux Management (RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Satellite, and Foreman).
  • Knowledge of DevOps / DevSecOps principles and practices.
  • Cyber security toolsets (detect, record, monitor, analyse).
  • Advanced Diploma and/or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Administration, or ICT.
