We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Residential Support Worker for our client, who provides care and support services for young people aged 10-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Children's Residential Support Worker. You will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment for our young residents, promoting their independence and well-being, and encouraging them to participate in activities that enhance their development. Your experience in similar settings will be invaluable in helping you understand the needs of our young people and provide the necessary care and support.

As a successful candidate, you can expect a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on your experience. In addition to a comprehensive training programme, you will receive flexible pay options, including the ability to earn money every day, a refer-a-friend scheme, and access to a pension scheme.

Responsibilities
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives.
  • Deal with challenging behaviours when needed.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being.
  • Maintain a safe environment for young people.
Requirements
  • A full driving licence and a car are essential for this role, as you will be required to transport young people at times.
  • Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with young people is desirable, but not essential.
  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable.
