Health Engagement Specialist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Community Health and Engagement Officer to join our dynamic team at Equals One Ltd in Eastbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, contributing to the development of service quality assurance procedures, and promoting the importance of user lived experience in the company and community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement strategy to ensure key stakeholders are actively involved in the service provision
- Collaborate with the service users board to recruit and lead quarterly meetings to oversee improvement and question local service centre staff
- Network with professionals in other services to promote knowledge of the wheelchair service and identify areas for improvement
- Support service users who are not eligible for a wheelchair provided by the service, helping to identify options available
- Make information available via signposting to other services, health professionals, social care, charities, citizens advice, etc.
Requirements:
- Lived experience of vulnerable children and adults, gained through personal or carer use, including personal experience of wheelchair and other healthcare equipment and services
- Experience of strategic and project planning and decision making
- Good interpersonal skills, including demonstrable knowledge and practice of customer care including conflict management
- A UK driving licence is essential
