Lead the Way in Geography Education

Castleford Academy Trust is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Second in Geography. As a key member of our Geography department, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated leader who is passionate about Geography and committed to delivering outstanding lessons. As a Second in Geography, you will work closely with the Head of Geography to develop and implement curriculum initiatives, raise academic achievement, and ensure all pupils make outstanding progress.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting the Head of Geography and deputising when necessary, ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
  2. Contributing to the development of curriculum initiatives and strategies to raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement.
  3. Monitoring and supporting pupil progress, ensuring that all students receive a broad, balanced, and relevant education.
  4. Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement teaching initiatives and strategies, promoting Geography as a subject.
  5. Supporting the Academy's ethos and values, inspiring pupils and staff to achieve excellence.
