Salary and Package: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join a leading house builder on a luxury residential scheme in Dorchester.

About the Role:
  • To implement health and safety policies among staff under control.
  • Ensure understanding of health and safety requirements for operations under control, implemented according to risk assessments and method statements.
  • Pre-plan operations with Build Manager and Site Manager to coordinate health and safety, considering special hazards or problems involved.
  • Maintain and update health and safety plan.
  • Establish adequate welfare facilities on site from commencement to completion of contract.
  • Oversee site staff and subcontractors, liaising with head office and local authority departments.
  • Cultivate culture of safety, progress, quality, and innovation.
  • Monitor statutory inspection reports on scaffolding, excavations, lifting appliances, accidents, etc.
  • Record and report all accidents, diseases, and dangerous occurrences according to company procedures and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate on-site activities safely, ensuring alignment with agreed construction programmes and costs.
  • Participate in required training.

Essential Qualifications/Experience:
  • Experience working within housebuilding industry.
  • Previous experience as Construction Manager.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS - Desirable but not Essential.
  • CSCS Card.
  • First Aid.
