We are currently seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Contracts Manager. This role involves overseeing the management of servicing and responsive repair contracts, working closely with the Contracts Assistant to plan and execute procurement exercises.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in procurement and contract management, with excellent negotiation and communication skills. They will also have a strong understanding of long-term agreements, contractual requirements and procurement, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet customer needs.
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring contract performance and challenging poor performance to achieve improvements in line with contract documents.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality repairs services to customers.
  • Identifying and mitigating contractual risks to ensure the success of the business.
  • Planning and executing procurement exercises with customers in mind and to ensure continuity of our repairs service and landlord obligations.
Requirements
  • Construction management qualification or similar
  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Experience in procuring contracts via tender and negotiation and the legal requirements applicable to the public sector
  • A strong background in construction, social housing or repairs (desirable)

Salary: £50,000 per annum.
