Job Description:
This Teaching Assistant role will focus on all EYFS - Year 6 classes, taking on HLTA responsibilities if desired. Key tasks include:
  • Supervising children for their safety and well-being.
  • Recognizing and catering to diverse developmental stages.
  • Planning engaging play and learning activities.
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Supporting children with special educational needs, including those with communication difficulties.
  • Assisting in lesson planning and assessing development progress.
The Ideal Candidate:
To be successful, you should possess:
  1. Qualifications: Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent.
  2. Experience: At least 10 years of experience in early years, SEND, or teaching assistant roles.
  3. Knowledge: Strong understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) principles and supporting children with SEN.
  4. Skills: Paediatric First Aid, safeguarding training, food hygiene knowledge, and functional skills in Maths and English at Level 2.
  5. Personal Attributes: A team player with a passion for working with children, treating them with dignity and respect.
