Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day cover for short or long-term placements within local nurseries.
  • Enhance knowledge and experience further.
  • Ensure children's safety, happiness, and stimulation through play-based activities.
  • Communicate effectively with children using creative methods.
  • Encourage development through engaging play sessions.
  • Create a nurturing child-friendly environment that promotes learning.
  • Maintain toys and equipment to ensure a safe and stimulating atmosphere.
  • Keep accurate records of children's progress and activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • NVQ level 2/3 Childcare and Education or equivalent qualification.
  • CACHE level 3 diploma in Childcare and Education or equivalent qualification.
  • Foundation/honours degree in Early Childhood Studies or equivalent qualification.
