Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading and shaping paediatric audiology services in the acute setting
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Overseeing and participating in paediatric hearing tests, hearing aid provision, and diagnostic tests for babies
  • Working with colleagues in the community paediatric team to develop and implement effective solutions
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to quality improvement initiatives

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a full-time position, but we also consider part-time flexible hours for this role.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc/MSc in Audiology, evidence of competence in ABR testing, and previous leadership ability including service development. They will also have proficiency in paediatric hearing aid fittings and assessment, as well as experience working in the NHS specifically in paediatric clinics.

We value excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to interact with children, and the capacity to manage patients accordingly with clinical information available. The successful candidate will also have the ability to formulate protocols and plans at a departmental level.
