About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of equipment and facilities.
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse environment.
  • Utilize advanced tools and technologies to maximize equipment effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and practices.
  • Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and the implementation of best practices across multiple sites.
A Day in the Life

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you will be based on-site, allowing you to respond quickly to any equipment issues. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks, responding to breakdowns, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.

You will work closely with senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks, including painting and plumbing, and will liaise with contractors as needed. You will also work on a range of shifts to ensure our sites are supported around the clock.

About the Team

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a technically-minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers.

We handle a wide range of tasks, from installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site and repairing key distribution equipment. This includes ensuring our buildings are legally compliant and operating at maximum efficiency.

What We're Looking For
  • NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification.
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer.
  • Relevant experience working in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing.
