Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Minimize production downtime by troubleshooting breakdowns and preventing reoccurrences.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation to undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment.
  • Use a Maintenance Management System to carry out preventative/planned maintenance work.
  • Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing recurring issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all EHS Company policies.
  • Continuously enhance job knowledge through training and development opportunities.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical work, including fabrication, welding, and some minor electrical installation work as required.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum level 3 qualification, BTEC/City and Guilds or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in industrial maintenance and fault finding on electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
  • Proven competency in reading and interpreting electrical and/or mechanical diagrams as well as fault finding in control panels and on industrial systems.
  • Experience in any of the following will be advantageous: PLCs, Fabrication, Welding, Vacuum Technology.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with office software applications would be an advantage.
  • Resilient, resourceful approach, with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
