Practice Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our team of professionals in Milton Keynes.

As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent care services to patients and communities across our three sites in Milton Keynes. You will be part of a wider team that is agile, innovative, and future-focused.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with patients with a variety of long-term health conditions, be comfortable with change, and able to work autonomously. They will also be keen to work in non-traditional care systems and have a willingness to learn and develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Venepuncture
  • Blood pressure
  • ECG
  • Height/Weight/BMI
  • Health Promotion
  • Childhood and Adult Immunisations
  • Wound Care
  • Contraception
  • Cervical Screening
  • Spirometry
  • Long-term condition management such as Diabetes, COPD, Asthma

Requirements:

  • Registered with the NMC
  • Degree in Nursing
  • Substantial Practice Nurse experience
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD
  • Minimum of 1 Long Term Condition diploma
  • Knowledge of patients with long term conditions
  • Familiarity with Patient Group Directions (PGD's) and associated policy
