Job Title: Practice Nurse - General Practice

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic nurse to join our team at Whaddon Healthcare, a forward-thinking and progressive organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified nurse to develop their career in General Practice.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality Practice Nursing care to the practice population, following evidence-based guidelines and local/national protocols.
  • Provide general treatment room, preventative care, and patient education.
  • Supervise and support healthcare assistants, ensuring accurate and timely records of consultations.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and education of students and new staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with the practice team, other agencies, and disciplines.
Requirements:
  • RGN Qualified nurse (or equivalent) on the register of the NMC.
  • Good time management and ability to work within an appointment system.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Good rapport with patients and evidence of personal development.
  • Ability to offer holiday and sickness cover.
Person Specification:
  • Practice nurse experience (desirable).
  • Willingness to take part in PCT/wider NHS developments.
  • Knowledge of SystmOne computer system (desirable).
