Job Description

Prospectus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Student Casework and Policy Lead. This is a temporary position, working on a full-time basis (35 hours per week) for an initial 3-month period. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on student casework policies and procedures, ensuring the student code of conduct and related policies remain relevant, and monitoring statutory requirements and national developments in student casework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective casework policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert guidance on student conduct and compliance.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes and provide accurate advice on standards.
  • Liaise with external parties, including the Office for Independent Adjudication (OIAHE) and legal advisors.
  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Represent the department on key committees (e.g., Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion).
Requirements
  • Experience in a Student Casework environment from within Higher Education.
  • Strong administrative skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven line management experience, leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational abilities.
  • Expert knowledge of regulatory issues, safeguarding, and student misconduct.
  • Strong IT literacy.
