Lead Student Casework Specialist

About the Role
At SOAS University of London, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Student Casework Team. As the Head of Student Casework, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of student complaints, student disciplinaries, and matters relating to academic appeals and misconduct.
You will provide effective leadership and management to ensure a high-quality service and will be responsible for the independent and timely investigation of student cases. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with various departments across the university.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Student Casework Team to deliver a high-quality service
- Oversee the investigation of student cases, ensuring independence and timeliness
- Provide leadership and direction to the team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the university to ensure effective case management
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of student casework and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines
- Highly organized and able to maintain accurate records and files
