Job Title: Fluvial Modelling Expert

We're seeking a skilled Fluvial Modelling Expert to join our Sustainable Water Management Team.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in fluvial and pluvial hydraulic modelling, with knowledge of UK hydrology and flood estimation methods.

A successful applicant will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

With a strong commitment to professional development and membership, the right individual will contribute to new work proposals by estimating effort and scope.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum.

About the Role:

  • Deliver fluvial and pluvial modelling projects using software like FEH, Statistic, and ReFH for complex studies.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior colleagues in fluvial and pluvial modelling.
  • Review and check technical work for quality.
  • Support client liaison, data management, and other tasks.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in fluvial and pluvial hydraulic modelling.
  • Knowledge of UK hydrology, including flood estimation methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to professional development and membership.
  • Desirable skills: infrastructure experience, GIS, flood risk assessments, and UK flood risk policy knowledge.
