Financial Manager

Our client is a dynamic and highly commercial company that supplies innovative technology products into the defence and security industries. They are looking to double in size over the next couple of years, both in the UK and their offices in Europe and the Middle East. As a Finance Controller, you will be responsible for handling all of the group's finance functions, including accounting, financial reporting, financial forecasting, and budgeting. This is a managerial and hands-on role that reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing monthly management accounts and other reporting as required.
* Forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, cash flow, and cash management.
* Performing and overseeing all regulatory functions, including monthly VAT return and monthly EC sales list.
* Organising and managing financial audits to comply with current legislation in the UK and overseas.
* Managing daily accounts routines, journals, bank transactions, prepayments, accruals, and maintaining a fixed asset register.
* Ensuring strong controls are in place for stock management.
* Controlling costs and working with budget holders to drive efficiency and cost savings.
* Line managing accounts payable staff.
