Assistant Manager Opportunity at Loungers

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Loungers, a leading restaurant group in the UK. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the General Manager to maintain high standards across the team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving sales and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the General Manager in maintaining high standards across the team
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through effective team management and customer service
  • Drive sales and team engagement through effective sales building, sales and labour forecasts, and recruitment and HR practices
  • Manage rotas, team engagement, and customer feedback to ensure seamless operations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty

Requirements:
  • Experience as an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, or Supervisor in a restaurant, bar, cafe, or coffee shop environment
  • Excellent people management skills with a flair for talent spotting
  • Strong knowledge of best practice in sales building, sales and labour forecasts, paperwork and reporting, recruitment and HR, and NPS
  • Good literacy skills and attention to detail to support reporting on KPIs
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust
  • Self-motivator working at pace with limited supervision while adhering to pressure and timescales
