Job Summary:

We're seeking an Operational Safety Engineer - Autonomous Systems to join our dynamic team. This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary of $130,000 per annum, plus comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational safety strategies for autonomous vehicle systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough safety assessments, including hazard analysis, risk assessments, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineers to integrate safety features into autonomous vehicle platforms.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety standards and regulations, applying this expertise to improve safety protocols and practices.
  • Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and developing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in operational safety engineering, preferably in the automotive or autonomous vehicle industry.
  • Expert-level knowledge of safety standards and regulations applicable to autonomous vehicles, including ISO 26262, SAE J3016, and functional safety principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex safety issues.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
