About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Game Systems Engineer to join our team at Jagex Limited. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the game's systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Development: Design, develop, and implement game systems, including backend infrastructure, server architecture, and database management.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team, ensuring that systems are designed and implemented to meet the game's requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including game development, QA, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of game systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues, optimizing system performance and ensuring high-quality game experiences.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and expertise with the team, contributing to the growth and development of our technical capabilities.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java, C++, and other programming languages, with experience in backend systems and server architecture.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Education: Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
