Lead Learning Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Learning Support Worker to join our team at Ambitious about Autism. As a key member of our support team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the success of our Learning Support Workers.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit, onboard, and supervise new Learning Support Workers, ensuring they receive comprehensive induction and training to integrate seamlessly into our community.
- Oversee the performance and development of Learning Support Workers, conducting regular observations and providing constructive feedback to ensure they meet the highest standards of support for our learners.
- Collaborate with Teaching Staff and Transitions team to manage prospective learners' initial assessment process, ensuring a smooth transition into our program.
- Provide targeted interventions to support learners, groups, or teams of staff, developing independence and improving wellbeing and quality of life in line with our Ambitious Approach.
Ambitious about Autism is a non-maintained specialist provision dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of autistic young people. We offer a holistic approach to development, supporting learners with a range of needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and co-occurring conditions.
Our team is built on a foundation of expertise, with support workers, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nurses, PBS practitioners, and assistant psychologists working together to provide exceptional support.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and online search as part of our Safer Recruitment checks.
