Job Summary:

Dedicate Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Technician to join our team. As a Senior IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the technical services strategy of our clients, ensuring the delivery of excellent teaching and learning, and related administrative functions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of junior technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of technical services.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement a strategy for assigned areas of responsibility, identifying skills gaps and developing a continuous professional development (CPD) program to enhance team performance.
  • IT Infrastructure Management: Deliver the configuration and maintenance of schools' IT infrastructure, ensuring network monitoring is implemented in line with the service strategy.
  • Security and Compliance: Review, develop, and test security best practices prior to implementation, ensuring the organization's IT systems are secure and compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Asset Management: Ensure the organization has an accurate asset log using the inventory system, maintaining up-to-date records of all IT assets.
  • Credential Management: Ensure credential documentation is always up-to-date and follows best practice, maintaining the security and integrity of the organization's IT systems.
  • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with third-party suppliers, ensuring they deliver against agreed service level agreements and providing excellent customer service.
  • Procurement: Ensure procurement processes are followed to achieve best value, sourcing IT solutions and services that meet the organization's needs.

Requirements:

  • Education: Educated to at least 'GCSE' standard with English and Maths at level C or above, together with a qualification in a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Senior IT Technician in a large organization, with a good understanding of technologies employed in schools.
  • Skills: Advanced user of Microsoft Office, with excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to analyze data confidently and produce accurate work with a keen eye for detail.
  • Driving License: Full driving license and access to a vehicle required for this role.
