About the Role

The role of a Cloud Application Services Lead at Point of Rental Software involves leading the Application Services team and contributing as a team member.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the team meets project timelines, managing ticket backlogs, communicating with other teams, and being a contributing team member.

Additional responsibilities include setting up and configuring Point of Rental applications in cloud-hosted environments or on physical servers, tailored to meet customer needs.

Environments can range from simple single-machine setups to RDS Farms, incorporating credit card terminals, printers, cloud-accessed printers, scanners, or ID scanners.

Responsibilities also include setting up backup schedules and SQL servers.

The role requires collaboration with Project Managers to keep projects on track, as well as self-management of assigned tasks and tracking other team members' projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects are completed on time
  • Inter-team communication and delegation of tasks
  • Support team members to enable task completion
  • Hardware configuration, including Windows Server, storage, printers, scanners, and credit card terminals
  • Setup of physical servers or cloud environments
  • Basic SQL database administration
  • Network administration and setup, including router configuration and VPN deployments
  • Setup of Rental software and Point of Rental licensing
  • Ordering of physical hardware and software licenses
  • Cross-departmental collaboration for customer deployments

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a technical team while contributing as a team member and managing a team's backlog
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow documentation and track work progress
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office 365 applications
  • Associate's Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience
  • Telephone or remote customer support experience (can be replaced with onsite experience or equivalent customer service experience)
  • Remote Windows administration for offices of 1-15 users
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar IT support role
  • Ability to participate in rotating On-Call Support
  • Group Policy and Active Directory administration
