**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Patient Experience team in the Ophthalmology service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and smooth-running day-to-day organisation and management of a designated team of receptionists and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the outpatient and day case admin function.
- Support specific projects to develop effective processes, meet targets, and maintain an effective service.
- Have an excellent working knowledge of the Trust's outpatient appointment booking processes and the systems that support this function.
- Be responsible for patient registrations, new and follow-up appointment processing, waiting list validation, and the 18-week RTT pathways.
- Ensure compliance with national, local, and specialist targets.
Requirements:
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Strong understanding of the Trust's outpatient appointment booking processes and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
