  • We specialize in B2B meat and poultry trading, sourcing products from the UK and Europe and supplying to UK manufacturers and wholesalers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Previous experience working as a buyer/purchaser in an FMCG role or a position involving negotiation and relationship-building
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Google Sheets/Excel and Word
  • Experience with client communication, including phone and email interactions
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Valid driving license
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Apple products, including iPhone and iMac
  • Similar industry knowledge, particularly in the pet food sector
What the Role Involves:
  • Calling and emailing suppliers to compare prices and negotiate costs
  • Entering data into the CRM and sharing it with the sales team
  • Researching and negotiating transport rates with suppliers
  • Liaising with accounts and sales teams on various matters
  • Managing supplier documentation and photos
  • Building relationships with suppliers through visits and trade shows
  • Email marketing and social media lead generation
  • Staying up-to-date with market prices to source products at the best rates
