Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SEN Teacher to join our team at a leading independent Special day school in the Cambridge area.

The school provides a highly specialist learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 who have a range of PMLD, MLD and SLD needs, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD and associated difficulties.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled teacher to join our education team and provide high quality teaching and learning within a meaningful and engaging curriculum.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver lessons that cater for the diverse needs of students.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to support student progress and achievement.
Requirements:

We are looking for someone with a PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification, as well as working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations. Experience of SEN learning, particularly sensory lead curriculums, is also essential.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent team working skills and ability to contribute to our established team. Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting and recording are also crucial.
