As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of a shift, ensuring the wellbeing of all service users, and supervising support staff. You will also have the opportunity to use your knowledge and skills to help change the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Key Responsibilities
- Organising and overseeing the smooth running of a shift
- Ensuring the wellbeing of all service users
- Supervising support staff
- Organising activities and administering medication
- Communicating with families and professionals
- Overseeing daily reports and budgets
- Completing financial audits and H&S checks
Requirements
- Experience as a Senior Support Worker or extensive care experience from a Learning Disability and Autism residential setting
- Leadership skills and experience
- Strong empathy and a caring and compassionate nature
- Willingness to support residents with personal hygiene
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Ability to deal with challenging behaviours
- Positive and professional approach
- Reliability, flexibility, hard work, and honesty
