This opportunity is for a Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Haringey as a Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant, providing targeted support to a pupil with Autism from January 2025.

About the Role:

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring the pupil receives the necessary support to engage in their learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to the pupil, adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs and abilities
  • Support the pupil's social and emotional development, fostering confidence and independence
  • Collaborate with other members of the school community to ensure seamless support and care for the pupil
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with children with special needs, ideally within a primary school setting
  • Demonstrated understanding of Autism and strategies to support children with additional needs
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and helping every child succeed
Salary:

The salary for this role is estimated at £75-80 per day, based on industry standards and location.
