Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Leadership Specialist to join our Perioperative Care Directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing experienced and professional leadership for a clinical team, exercising accountability for the management of the clinical team, and leading and developing staff members in the delivery of compassionate, high-quality, effective, patient-centred care.

This role involves managing the efficient deployment of the clinical team and utilising allocated resources, raising financial expenditure concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner. The Clinical Leadership Specialist will also be responsible for effective rostering of staff to ensure the clinical area has the necessary skill mix and staffing levels to meet demand.

Main Duties:

  • To take responsibility for the procurement and maintenance of physical assets and specialist supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Dealing with complex clinical and managerial situations, analysing data and information, seeking appropriate help, and making decisions in relation to patient risk and care.
  • To lead and develop staff members in the delivery of compassionate, high-quality, effective, patient-centred care.

Person Requirements:

  • Current NMC / HCPC Registration
  • Pertinent postgraduate qualification AND a willingness to undertake appropriate post-graduate level study when in post
  • Degree
  • Recognised Management Qualification
  • Master's degree in pertinent subject
  • Teaching/coaching qualification

Estimated Salary: £46,840 - £53,602 per annum
