Project Toxicologist

Join Bristol-Myers Squibb's Nonclinical Research and Biotherapeutics team as a Project Toxicologist, where you will play a critical role in designing and implementing nonclinical safety strategies to support the development and marketing approval of our innovative therapies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Nonclinical Safety on early- and late-stage project development teams, providing scientifically sound nonclinical development plans to management and development teams.
  • Interact with regulatory agencies worldwide on issues of nonclinical safety evaluation, participating in discussions to address safety findings and provide safety assessments.
  • Evaluate, propose, and apply new scientific methodology to enhance scientific excellence and productivity in Nonclinical Safety.
  • Represent BMS in external scientific and regulatory collaborations, committees, and consortia, collaborating with the Discovery organization to evaluate toxicity of drug candidates.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of academic/industry experience, or Master's Degree with 10+ years of experience, or PhD with 8+ years of experience and 4+ years of leadership experience.
  • 10+ years of regulatory toxicology/development experience, with knowledge of biochemical and mechanistic toxicology, immunology, pharmacology, biology of disease, and/or experimental pathology.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with ability to manage multiple research activities, provide and accept input on data interpretation, and foster a spirit of team effort.
What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of $185,000 to $231,300, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities, based on eligibility.
