Residential Care Team Leader

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Residential Care Team Leader to join our team at Swanton Care & Community Ltd. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our care staff, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our children and young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care and support to our children and young people.
- Develop and implement individual care plans that meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Ensure that all care staff receive the necessary training and support to deliver high-quality care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including healthcare professionals and social workers, to ensure that our children and young people receive comprehensive support.
- Ensure that all care staff adhere to our policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and confidentiality.
- Contribute to the development of our care team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a care leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex needs.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and professionals.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies, including the Children Act and the Care Act.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
