Clinical Psychologist, Learning Disability Services Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work with adults, social workers, and children in care. We are looking for a passionate individual who loves to work creatively with children and their families and networks.
Main DutiesThe role involves embedding a trauma and psychologically informed culture across Suffolk's Children's Homes. This includes facilitating reflective practice groups, training and formulation sessions for staff, and working with the management team to review and embed practice developments. The successful candidate will have experience of mental health practice with children, young people, and families, as well as experience of multi-disciplinary working and working with care experienced children.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
- Facilitating reflective practice groups for staff
- Delivering training and formulation sessions for staff
- Working with the management team to review and embed practice developments
- Assessing and managing risk with children and young people
- Working with social care systems
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Post-graduate degree in clinical psychology accredited by BPS
- Registered as a Practitioner psychologist with the Health Professions Council (HCPC)
- Additional therapeutic qualification, training, or experience
- Experience of mental health practice with children, young people, and families
- Experience of multi-disciplinary working
- Experience of working with care experienced children
