Stockroom Assistant Lead

Our client, a well-established supermarket, is seeking an experienced Stockroom Assistant Lead to join their team. This role requires a strong work ethic, good organisational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
About the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for replenishing stock within the store, including heavy lifting and handling alcohol. They will also need to check best before and expiry dates, maintain display units and shelving, and ensure the store is ready for customers' arrival.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenishing stock within the store
- Checking best before and expiry dates
- Maintaining display units and shelving
- Housekeeping activities, maintaining a tidy and organised work area
- Strong time management skills, in order to work efficiently to comply with deadlines in a busy retail environment
- Handling stock with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition
Requirements
- Previous experience in stock replenishment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Good communication skills
- Estimated salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per year, depending on experience.
