About the Role:

Cognitive Group | Part of the Focus Cloud Group is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Manager to join our team. As a Data Governance Manager, you will play a critical role in establishing, maintaining, and communicating our data governance framework, processes, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a robust data governance framework, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the design and embedding of data governance controls and forums, ensuring effective risk management and data quality assurance.
  • Maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders, advocating for improved data risk management and practices.
  • Drive a data quality assurance approach, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Manage and empower other parties in the Data Office to play their role in governance, promoting a culture of data excellence.
  • Provide SME input to maturity assessments, ensuring our data governance capabilities are aligned with industry benchmarks.
  • Support the operation of governance forums, facilitating open communication and collaboration across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Valid SC Clearance, active within the last 12 months.
  • Proven experience in data governance, compliance, or risk management.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive change and implement data governance initiatives, ensuring business buy-in and adoption.
