Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Farmfoods. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our store, working closely with the Shop Manager to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Shop Manager to develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth.
  • Lead and motivate a team of Retail Assistants to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store, including stock management, inventory control, and cash handling.
  • Support the Shop Manager with recruitment, training, and development of new team members.
  • Monitor and control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a manager, team leader, or supervisor in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of the business.
  • Basic knowledge of retail operations, including stock management, inventory control, and cash handling.
