Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Farmfoods in Edinburgh. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our shop, working closely with the Shop Manager to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop a team of retail assistants to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
- Assist the Shop Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop, including stock management, customer service, and staff supervision
- Take ownership of shop routines, including cleaning, maintenance, and security
- Support the Shop Manager with recruitment, induction, and training of new team members
- Contribute to the development of the shop's business plan and implement initiatives to drive sales growth and customer engagement
- Proven experience as a manager, team leader, or supervisor in a retail environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings
- Basic knowledge of retail operations, including stock management, customer service, and sales targets
