We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Register Manager to join our team at North Devon District Council. As a key member of our Housing Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and fair allocation of social housing in our district.
Key Responsibilities- Application Assessment: Assess applications for social housing in accordance with Devon Home Choice Policy and Procedures, associated legislation, regulations, and guidance.
- Housing Register Management: Maintain the accuracy of the housing register, generate and apply multiple periodic reports, and monitor DHC Partner property adverts.
- Customer Service: Respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner, provide information and guidance, and signpost customers to other services where appropriate.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate workloads within a team of DHC Officers, manage competing workloads, and prioritize tasks using risk-based assessments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Contact and involve external stakeholders where necessary and appropriate, and maintain good working relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Experience: Proven experience in housing register management, social housing allocation, or a related field.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Devon Home Choice Policy and Procedures, associated legislation, regulations, and guidance.
- Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work under pressure, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
