Role Overview

The successful candidate will have a strong background in children's residential care, with experience in leading and managing teams. As the Residential Children's Home - Registered Manager, you will oversee the registration process with Ofsted, recruit and develop a staff team, ensure compliance with statutory and organisational policies, and maintain professional relationships with multi-agency partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete the registration process with Ofsted
  • Recruit, induct, and develop a staff team
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and organisational policies
  • Lead and manage care and placement planning
  • Maintain professional relationships with multi-agency partnerships
  • Oversee budgeting and financial management
  • Provide professional supervision and training for staff
  • Facilitate Ofsted inspections and regulatory reports
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • QCF Level 3/4 in Children and Young People (CYP)
  • A minimum of one year of managerial experience within a children's residential service
  • Comprehensive knowledge of attachment theory and quality standards
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Level 5 or a willingness to undertake QCF Level 5 in leadership and management
  • Previous Ofsted inspections rated Good or Outstanding
