About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Consultant to join our team at GB001 Marsh Ltd. As a Claims Consultant, you will play a critical role in advising key stakeholders on complex reinsurance scenarios and promoting the delivery of technical work products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply in-depth reinsurance and industry knowledge to function as a trusted advisor with brokers, colleagues, clients, and markets.
  • Work on the Guy Carpenter global account, representing the company in industry and client speaking engagements as requested.
  • Offer company-wide technical expertise, consultation, and coaching.
  • Develop relationships with brokers, clients, and markets via communication, interaction, and delivery of technical consulting services in support of the overall account objective.
  • Deliver outstanding client service and advance Guy Carpenter's reputation.

What You Need to Have

  • Treaty knowledge and Excess of Loss.
  • In-depth knowledge of pro rata reinsurance.
  • Knowledge of industry standard reinsurance concepts and principles, laws, regulatory requirements, and general business trends.
  • Track record of successful client account management, relationship management, engagement, and development.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills for the communication of complex claims issues, presentations, and negotiations with clients, markets, and GC colleagues at all levels.
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the reinsurance transaction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications – specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required.
